Welcome to Soulbrush, a place where craftsmanship, dedication, and a touch of artistic flair converge. Founded in 2007 in Huntersville, NC, Soulbrush was born out of the shared vision of Matt Zawila and Joe Gatlin, two family men with a passion for manufacturing and metalwork.
Our Story
Joe, a proud veteran who served in the Army's Airborne Air Assault during Desert Storm, teamed up with Matt, and together they navigated the ups and downs of the manufacturing industry. Their journey began with making metal parts while working with Brown Equipment. When the economy took a downturn in 2008, reducing their workforce from 21 employees to just 6, it was a challenging time that tested their resilience and determination.
Amidst this struggle, they met John McAllister of Plasma Designs in 2008. John, a talented designer known for his intricate metal art and licensed University of South Carolina Gamecock pieces, recognized the potential of their detailed and efficient laser systems. This partnership helped Soulbrush weather the recession and set the stage for future growth.
Sadly, John passed away unexpectedly in 2016. His loss was deeply felt, but his legacy lived on. Matt and Joe continued to support his designs and gradually began to develop their own unique creations, honoring John's influence and expanding their artistic horizons.
Soulbrush is proud to be a Made in USA company, dedicated to excellence in every aspect of our work. Our facility in Mooresville, NC, is a testament to our commitment to quality and innovation.Here are some highlights of our capabilities:
- Advanced Technology: We operate with five lasers, including a state-of-the-art 6000-watt fiber optic laser with full automation capabilities, allowing it to load and unload materials and cut a full bundle of material efficiently.
- Precision Equipment: Our facility houses five press brakes ranging from 50 tons to 150 tons for precise metal bending.
- Comprehensive Fabrication: We offer four MIG welding stations, a full powder coating line, and various other stations for sanding, blasting, and surface fabrication.
- Diverse Manufacturing: We manufacture and support thousands of different parts for our customers, including nuts, bolts, classic turned aluminum parts, and stocked inventory.
